Noodles for the world

Today, while shopping in my usual supermarket (in France) I decided to buy some instant noodles.
I buy "Ayam Instant Noodles", with an underline in Chinese characters ("instant noodles" probably). "Ayam Authentic Asian" is the lema.
Arriving at home I check the packages: Product of Malaysia packed and imported by A Clouet (Australia).
Taking a better look, I found an arabic inscription, under it, "Islamic Development Department of Malaysia".
Finally, looking at the Ayam website, I discovered that Ayam means "rooster" and was created by a French colonizer (the rooster is the French national symbol).

Latin, Arabic, Chinese; Australia, Malaysia, France and some Islamic union; all just in a pack of noodles.
This is globalization.

200 Km2@8%

What does it takes to build 200 Km2 of solar energy converters?

Build six of those, a cost efficient way to distribute the energy, and you will have solved the world energy problem.

Notice that this calculations where made under the assumption of 8% of efficience. It is also interesting to notice that Europe is not in a good position for solar energy.

What a good idea !

what ... ? what ... !?

"""
If you live in the Netherlands and don't hear well, you'll soon be able to buy a new hearing aid, a pair of Varibel glasses. These special glasses originally developed at Delft University of Technology have four small interconnected microphones in each leg of their frames. And these microphones can 'selectively intensify the sounds that come from the front, while dampening the surrounding noise.' So these glasses offer a better sound quality than other hearing aids.
