Surival Chinese
Finally I discovered that my four months of intensive chinese three months ago does not allow me any kind of real discussion. However it provides me a "survival chinese" kit that allows me to evolve without suffering in world where "hello" is the most of english you will find.
Learn chinese, it will be useful. It is easier to get rid of the intensive seller and you get better discounts when buying. Of course, it is useful for the simple day to day tasks.
However my piece of advice is: if there is one thing you should learn to survive in China is how to say "not too spicy". Really, I mean it.
For french peoples, the "Chinois du Routard" seems a nice book.

Libellés : travels
Somewhere in China
As some of you already know, I'm going to spend a few weeks in China. I already spent one week in Beijing, one week in Shanghai. And now I'm travelling during three weeks for vacations.
Internet access and the possibility to upload photos is very limited (and in vacations I'm not very internet dependent) but anyway I will try to write some of my stories (so I do not forget them myself). You can also look at my uploaded photos in flickr.
